Our Story

Nestled in the Lobby of the Maritime trade towers AON building ,
Back row West has been Molded together from a blend of past Restaurant and Café operations ( “ The Gardens” Franchise and “Merchants of Ultimo” ) by Owner Bobby Volcevski and the Greater experience of Head Chef Andrew Duncan ( Bowery Lane ).

With a blend of the City feel of the AON tower, to the Fascinating heritage of the  Grafton Bond Building being braised together in its rare beauty Back Row West is a great meet place for all occasions be it small or large gatherings.

Prior to the arrival of the first fleet in 1788, Kent st was initially referred to as  
“Back Row west” before the name change that was introduced by Governor Lachlan Macquarie, the so called “Father of Sydney”.

Our Produce and Packaging

Back Row West has been derived from a blend of menu offerings to cater for the busy Corporate and casual life of Sydney Siders. Established from the passion of creating healthy, organic and wholesome dishes.

We use only Australian and locally sourced products and promote the use of many Australian foods and supplies that put together our menu today.

From the Country Valley milk created in Sunny Picton, NSW or to the Fruit  and Veg purchased directly from Australian Farmers markets, we support all things Australian and will continue to do so for a long time coming.

Packaging Supplied by Premier Northpak is HACCP accredited and within our operational processes we built in the necessary practices that assure that our material is all separated and Recyclable 365 days a year.

Back Row West is an exciting venue in the midst of the Sydney CBD with a wholesome food philosophy “ Honest food, Full of Flavor “ offering breakfast and lunch 5 days a week.
